Het is altijd lastig om een strikte scheiding aan te brengen tussen werk en privéleven. Zoals voor de meeste professionals is hun werk ook belangrijk voor de persoonlijke ontwikkeling en groei in het privé-leven. Dit is ook voor de leden van Genius geen uitzondering. De activiteiten waaraan deelgenomen wordt in hun vrije tijd, in hun werk, alleen of met vrienden zijn even belangrijk. Met dit in het achterhoofd heeft een aantal vrienden Genius opgericht, een vereniging voor gay-professionals in Nederland. Doel is om een netwerk te bieden en te onderhouden voor prive en business relaties waarbij professionele en homoseksuele aspecten een rol spelen, maar niet de hoofdmoot zijn. Lees meer over Genius.

 The Dutch organisation Genius is a major contributor to gay life in the Netherlands for lesbians and gay men. It is a network run for and by its members, building on the importance and individuality of gay life styles and pespectives in our everyday lives.
This focus recognises that in both our personal and business relationships, not all aspects of life are dominated by our sexuality and that we have many interests that are common to everyone. Genius provides a forum in which members can relax, build, develop and enjoy experiences and learning, in both formal and and social environments. This can also offer members the support to maintain the balance between our professional and private lives that allows us to contribute so much to a vibrant Dutch society.
You will find members both working and retired in a wide range of professions such as financial services, banking, medicine, law, IT, design, architecture, academic and the arts and our meetings and excursions reflect many of these topics, both through formal talks and social gatherings.
We welcome new members and hope that you will join us to find out more about what we can offer each other in the promotion of a balanced, enjoyable, social, personal and professional life for lesbians and gay men. Language, gender or age are not an issue as we are an inclusive and welcoming organisation.
